Summer, an explosion of colors

Pinnacles, green meadows as far as the eye can see, fresh streams, walls that take your breath away from how majestic they are. This is Alta Badia in summer: an uncontaminated area, which you can explore in total freedom, starting directly from Ciasa Nene Franzl in Badia.

The network of paths is vast and adapts to any need. Are you a lover of via ferrata? The famous Tridentine Brigade and its suspension bridge are there to challenge you. Also the new equipped route Les Cordes offers an adrenaline-free access route to the Gardenaccia plateau. And then the peaks, of course! The immense wall of the Sasso Croce, the Sassongher, symbol of Alta Badia, the Sella massif, a mighty castle so dear to the Ladins, crossed by impressive scree. Among its many peaks, the Piz Boè, the easiest three-thousander of the Dolomites.

Less demanding alternatives are certainly not lacking: you can relax on the banks of the Lalunch and Sompunt lakes, connected by the very comfortable Tru di lec (lakes path), a path that starts right from Badia. If you love two wheels, emulate cycling champions on our roads, many times the theater of the Giro d'Italia. Alternatively, put on an ebike and go along the many dedicated routes. Those who are attracted to speed will throw themselves headlong into a freeride.

Alta Badia is synonymous with outdoor activities to practice whenever and however you want. And when you need to rest a bit, stop in one of our cozy hut, perhaps to enjoy a typical dish of Ladin cuisine. Wonderful sensations!
